Basil - distilled from the culinary herb, oil of basil is an excellent aromatic nerve tonic. It clears the head and gives the mind strength and clarity. It is an effective aid for exam nerves. This Essential Oil is best administered by a qualified Aromatherapist. Babies, infants, children under 12 years, during pregnancy or for those with sensitive skin.
Bergamot - obtained from the rind of a small orange like fruit native to Italy, it is valuable for depression,anxiety and skin care. Its light uplifting fragrance blends well with most other Essential Oils. Babies, infants, children under 12 years or during pregnancy. Do not use within 3 hours of going out in the sun or using a sunbed as pigmentation of the skin may be affected.
Benzoin - Benzoin is a resin and is one of the ingredients of "Friars Balsam". Its warming, soothing and penetrating qualities are useful for conditions that are slow to heal. Babies or infants under 7 years.
Black Pepper - from Malaysia. It is one of the oldest known spices, being used in India over 4000 years ago. The oil has a hot stimulating effect. Cedarwood - Cedarwood has a pleasant, smokey odour. It has a long history of being used by the Egyptians. When inhaled it has a composing effect. It is useful for catarrh and for an oily skin. Babies, infants, children under 12 years or during pregnancy.
Chamomile Roman - Roman Chamomile is one of the most useful Essential Oils. It is an anti-inflammatory and thus soothing in its action. This Essential Oil may be safely used with children in the stated dilutions. Care in pregnancy.
Cinnamon - traditionally used as a remedy for many digestive problems, it is a powerful skin irritant and should be used with care. As a room fragrancer it blends well with Orange and Clove Oil. Clary Sage - distilled from the whole plant it has a warm and nutty scent. A good muscle relaxant and a key Essential Oil for PMT. Babies, infants under 7 years or during pregnancy.
Clove - obtained from the flower buds of a small evergreen tree from Madagascar. Traditionally associated with the relief of toothache and a powerful antiseptic. Coriander - a sweet smelling spicy essence, stimulating and refreshing in the bath. Babies, infants under 7 years.
Cypress - this oil is obtained by distillation of the leaves and cones of the Cypress tree which grows in the Mediterranean region. The astringent properties of this Essential Oil make it very effective in a foot bath. Babies, infants under 7 years.
